Farm Tours
Three to four times a year, there is a month that contains 5 weekends instead of 4. On these weekends, we hold open days at Shady Patches Farm. You can come along, do the tour, see and hear how and why we do what we do. You will get to see cute pigs of all sizes, cattle, sheep, & chickens, as well as enjoying a free afternoon tea. A great day out for the whole family. Sorry guys, because we are a working farm, the tour involves some walking around, and the ground is uneven, this tour is only suitable for those who are steady on their feet.
School groups are welcome, please contact us to arrange a week day tour.

CampingWhile we don't have actual camp sites set up, essentially, our whole property is a camp site. If you feel that you would like to camp under these trees, and you are a fully self contained camper (that means you have a porta loo, and your own camping gear), we would love to have you stay.
During your stay, you could book a personal farm tour, BBQ with a farmer, help feed the animals or you could just relax, and enjoy the peace and quiet. Well, quiet if you don't count the frogs, anyway. |
Working Bees
We hold working bees, throughout the year, generally on the same weekend as our farm tours. Designed as a tool for people to work together to achieve an outcome, each working bee will focus on a particular area or project, with details being advertised prior to each. No particular skills are required, however you may learn some while you're here. The working bees are unpaid, however we will feed you, and be very grateful for your input. Come along, meet us, and learn the realities of life on the farm - We'd love to see you!
